Our founding team came from Teamshares Inc., a company bringing employee ownership to small businesses across America. Beautiful mission. Massive scale problem.
I was embedded in portfolio companies, helping them figure out their marketing. And I kept hitting the same wall: I couldn't scale myself.
Sure, I could assess things when I was on-site. I could create strategies, spot opportunities, fix what was broken. But with 80+ companies in the portfolio? I wasn't an available resource when they needed me most—which was usually 9pm on a Tuesday when a decision needed to be made now.
Every business owner deserved a marketing partner in their corner. Someone who understood their context, their constraints, their opportunities. Someone available when inspiration struck or crisis hit.
